Wont Work means a rejection on installation...
A clean XP home oem or XP Pro oem CD should work, it is possible that you
need a cd that matches the service pack.
In all my time of installing windows XP, i have *never* came across an oem
coa, branded or otherwise, that would not install on the clean xp home or
pro oem cd.
And i have installed many hundreds of XPs.

Just to let anyone interested know, I bought an IBM branded COA from
this
group ages ago.. And its about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike!
It
wont work with any version of XP I try to install.
So Dont try and be a cheapskate like i was.. just buy a proper one and
be
done with it.
They Dont work.
P.S. Please feel free to post constructive comments, Do gooders and
smartarses also post so that others can confirm what they already know

you!
Define 'wont work'. Is the serial number rejected when you first install?
Or is it refused when you try to activate?
