I have a Toshiba 12GB 9.5mm laptop hard-drive - model MK1516GAP or HDD2153.
Its a very strange beast indeed :
- is not recognised by two laptop computers.
- is not recognised in Windows 2000 via a USB to mini-IDE adapter.
- is recognised and totally usable on two desktop computers via onboard IDE
channel. Can boot from drive, and it fully passes an "Advanced" Hitachi
Drive Fitness Test on both systems.
- is recognised in Windows 2000 via an external DVD/CD IDE to USB box. Works
perfectly!
So, its a very strange thing indeed and beyond my experience. I've
repeatedly tested what will work and what won't - what works, works
consistently and what doesn't, doesn't consistently.
Anyone want to take this off my hands for an offer?
Thanks!

Alex,
I'll give you £12 for it delivered.
It would only be used for spares.
