You should of used bidnip.com puts it on in the last 10secs as long as its the high bid you gave the 2 guys bidding against you time to think the one who outbid you may of bid that price when he saw that other bid of 900.99 go on. He may have estimated its max price the same as you however and added a bit to fend off snipers. We don't know.
The winning bidder sniped it manually, judging by the amount. In this case saving a few pounds as otherwise he would have had to pay the next whole bid increment. IIUC, you can't do that using a sniper website, bicbw.
I would have thought that it would be worth hanging on a few days, in case the buyer pulls out...you never know.
