Re: wanted - largest and most reliable IDE hard drive for £50 (please read message)

Puck is
looking tor an IDE hard drive for £50. it will be going in a
caddy for external use so reliability is the most important issue than
speed.

i will also require the seller to format the hatrd drive for use with
windows (fat32). i am acquiring this on behalf of a friend and since
it would be going directly to him i would not want anything shoddy!

Does your friend have the drivers needed to use Windows 98 in LBA48
mode? If not, you're looking at a brand new Seagate 160Gb, formatted
down to 137Gb, for maybe 45 pounds.
