Truth Upon Truth

The key to salvation is to place ALL
trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life.
That was the gospel of grace
that Christ gave to the apostle Paul
by revelation to preach to the nations.
It was the great truth that Jesus
had foretold that he would
show to the world:
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
(John 16:9 KJV)
But the world lost that truth
and tried to get salvation
by trusting part in Christ
and part in many other things,
things that should be done
but never trusted in for salvation,
such as repenting,
being baptized, attending church,
taking the sacrament, serving,
giving, and so forth.
So the Lord Jesus showed the world
the next great truth that he had foretold:
because I go to my Father,
and ye see me no more;
(John 16:10 KJV)
Christ showed one theologian
that the righteousness for salvation
is not our own but rather
that of Christ considered to be ours,
and so people began to once again
place their entire trust for salvation in Christ,
and the Protestant movement began.
By showing the world about his righteousness,
Christ gave truth upon truth:
the truth about his righteousness
enabled people to know
that Christ is the one they need to trust
and not their self or church at all.
But today so many are again
dividing their trust between
their self and Christ,
and relatively few know the truth
he gave about his righteousness.
The Lord Jesus foretold more truth
that he would show the world:
because the prince of this world is judged.
(John 16:11 KJV)
By showing the world the great need
for having his righteousness for salvation,
Christ gives truth upon truth:
the truth about the need
to have his righteousness
so that people place all their trust in him.
Christ shows the world
about the need to have his righteousness
when he comes unseen by the world
to take his people to himself.
Then it is evident to the world
that the ones he has taken
are those who place all their trust
in Christ who is our righteousness
so that they escape all that is about
to come upon the earth.
In the Tribulation,
many will trust in Christ alone
so that they may be ready
for his visible coming in glory.
