on the plus side - shambo has been reprieved

i'm very pleased with this judgement - shambo has tested positive for
TB - he can be treated, and kept away from other animals, and his
slaughter isn't necessary. the decision hasn't been well understood,
unfortunately.
I can understand both sides in the argument, but why can't they just
treat him with antibiotics? Antibiotics are effective against many
strains of TB, although there are some rare ones that they are less
effective with. TB happens to be a deadly disease, and it killed many
people until the invention of antibiotics. Is the bull contagious to
humans? To other cattle? Will quarantining him help? Seems silly to
put the animal down on principle, if he can be treated or isolated so he
doesn't spread the illness.
exactly! it's so bonkers here sometimes people think reasonable decisions
are bonkers. i am wednesbury unreasonable.
