Is it possible to take the balance too far towards selfless and forget
to think of yourself? Or is that more the point such that you live
always in a way that you can be selfless?

you seem to imply that there is
a midway point between selfless
and selfish. does this midway point
contain attributes of both selfishness
and selflessness? being selfish may
only be the recognition of being a part
of the whole shmear, all is one bohockey,
and thus being selfish as it were is simply
doing for the all as such if you will so on and
so forthness.

You are not getting the Middle Way
probably due to you addiction to flat reasoning.

Things are not fixed just because you named it once.
