But thanks for your take on his teaching and writing.
I more or less trust you.
George,
You don't go to a teacher because they are perfect, and it is probably
a good thing when they are not. There is a story about that. A yogi
was known to be some kind of a saint. Birds landed near him, wild
beasts were not afraid of him, rainbows appeared around him, a saintly
glow surrounded him. He was perfect. Once he attained ACTUAL
enlightenment, all those phenomena disappeared. Think about that a
bit.
Hmmm. I think I'm too spiritually obtuse to get it.
Human beings tend to WORSHIP saintly people. Worshipping anyone is a
big mistake. You are supposed to be finding your own freedom, your
own enlightenment. You are supposed to be WAKING UP. Worshipping
"other" is a trap.
Well, I don't have any problems there.
I didn't always know this. I used to think in terms of "good
teacher/bad teacher" and was a "right fighter" with all that entailed.
I think that what I am saying here is SO important that I could not
leave this stone unturned and go back to playing with my gorgeous
grandbabies.
Please read what I wrote over again, and think about it VERY seriously.
It is a really crucial point that took me a long time to figure out
myself.
Yes, ma'am. But please know that I think that
all dharmas (religions, ideologies, whatever)
are empty. But I love to play. I'm teaching the
following at Traip Academy and Kittery Adult
Education in 2007. I laughwalk every day.
HA, HA, HO, HO, HO!
Laughwalking Your Way to Better Health
Come to this class and experience the many benefits of synchronizing three
natural activities, breathing, walking, and laughter. By combining breath
meditation, aerobic exercise, and laughter yoga, Laughwalking increases
vitality, improves mood, lowers blood pressure, and increases one's sense
mastery. In this class we'll learn about Laughwalking's benefits, receiveFunctioning
over a dozen walking mantras, and try some out. George W. Cherry has been
meditating for 30 years and doing Breathwalks daily for 3 years. His
published graduate degree thesis, "The Serendipity of the Fully
Manager" (which won MIT's Best Management Science Thesis award)co-inspired
his serendipitous invention of Laughwalking.
now if you could combine sex with the
laughwalking you'd really be onto
something
