We don't need armed peace forces to make peace. Think of it;
"Armed peace"! *lol*

Have you ever called the police?

No. Never had the need.

You better watch some news.

I do watch the news. What does it have to do with anything? Unless,
of course that the immidiate reaction makes you think, that armed
forces are necsessary to achieve some state of peace. But the point
is that we practise not to react spontaneously upon what meet our
senses. We recieve info through our senses. Then we reflect on the
object. Then we consider what action could be taken, if any
nescessary. If action is nescessary, we act with awareness and
compassion.

"Armed peace"? It's like "forced peace"... It wont work. It only
creates more suffering. You can't impose peace on anybody. People
will withdraw. But you can make them a gift og friendliness, endless
patience and practise, to inspire them to change behavior.

I understand that it can be scary to look at the news, but it is a
problem in your mind, and that suffering within you, you should end
and not pass on to your surroundings.

World Peace can be achieved!

Do you let your children do as they please?

Hmmm... usage of complex questions are not uncommonly used as
arguments....
However I'll answer this anyway. If you say that the buddhist practise
is "force", because there are rules, then you have not understood the
buddhist practise.
If you say that upbringing is always based on force, because there are
rules then you have not understood the difference between "force" and
"education".

I don't have children, but a child who does not understand why
something is not constructive to do, will keep doing it. If you try
force, the child will go against you. If you take your time with the
child and explain, and have the child understand, then the child wont
be doing those "bad" things.

Adults are a lot like children and behaves like children in many ways,
but same principle allies. If the adult understands why a certain
behaviour is not constructive, the adult will give up the behaviour.
If you try to force something upon an adult, you will get suffering -
no matter what it is you force and what your intentions are.

Have you met any criminals?

Are you implying that criminals aren't humans? Criminals ARE humans!
Same principle applies. Try to force something on them and they back
off - just more violently. To make them do something by force, you would
have to spice the force with fear.
To answer your question - yes I have met criminals. Some of them are
actually more mentally mature than most civilians.

Have you witnessed any violent crime?

I think the Buddha actually described this situation and put a rule about
it in the vinaya paññatti.
Anyway... Yes - I have witnessed a violent crime. I witnessed a rape. I
resolved the situation peacefully. Noone was harmed in the process. The
offender even turned himself in to the police.
The girl - well - I took care of the girl for several months afterwards,
but she's fine now and well into the practise. It wasn't her mind being
raped - only her body...

Stumper ~ if you have a point - state it. Asking more questions lead you
nowhere. What is it about "peaceful action without force" that you do not
understand?
Are you sure you can tell
which action is peaceful and which is not?

Yes, I can stumper - It's easy and I already explained it to you.

Did you actually witness the rape in progress?

Yes I did, Stumper, and it doesn't make any difference.
