" What is really going on here? I want Tibetans to back to Tibet..."

This statement is racism, pure and simple. The reason for the Tibetan
diaspora was the ravage of Tibet by the invading Chinese army.

Go by a case by case evaluation of all teachers from all groups but
never condemn any ethnic group because some have displayed the
atrocious behavior which is prevalent throughout all strata of
humankind.

Please quote right. Those where not my words.

And the statement you see as racist, doesn't have to be racist. In fact I
read it as he wished that the Tibetans would get their land back...and live
happily ever after...meaning that he actually wish the Tibetans the best.

Now - throwing accusations like that is no better than racism. It is also a
discriminative action parting the racists from all other humans and condemn
them. That is called hypocrisy.

Now if you reflect on the matter, you find that there is another way of
responding. That is 1) understanding & deal with your own reaction to the
words that meet your eyes. 2) understand what lies behind the written
words(understand the person behind the words) 3) explain rather than judge
and label, to promote understanding with the other part.

That way you achieve peace.

Peter,

Sorry if I mistakenly thought it was your quote.

It's allright. No harm done.

In reading the total message denouncing various Tibetans who come to
America, followed by "I want Tibetans back to Tibet", if you see this
as wishing them the best, please let me be in your dreamworld.

You're welcome in that world of thought, although it's not a dreamworld. It is a matter of perspective to train a positive, but constructive way of thinking, that will benefit ourselves and others.

Having ancestry that were slaughtered in the millions by racists, makes
it difficult for me not to condemn hatred and evil in the world. You
make good points about understanding and I know the Buddha said, Hatred
never ends by hatred but only by love (paraphrased?) but I have doubts
about achieving peace with the unpeaceful.

I understand you. I had the very same thoughts. The very same doubt - but if we don't try and if someone doesn't start - then it will never happen. I'm trying to put together the theme of the international buddhist conference held recently on vesak day in bangkok. The theme was "the buddhist contribution to world peace". I'm convinced that it can be achieved, with some effort, organisation and some wisdom. I have put together a simple concept to achieve this. But people abandon the idea of world peace, and I do understand why.... People are tired. They have spend so much time on being afraid and anxious, that thier energy is almost used up. It is much easier for them to send some troops, kill all the troublemakers and then hope that peace will arise by itself. What people do not understand is that the concept of peace is something that needs to be kept alive. Peace is not something we can take for granted. Peace is really hard work to uphold.

What I did to put together the concept of peace in the world was to think, "if I was an alien from outer space, wanting to invade the earth in a peaceful manner and convert people to become peaceful... How would I do that?".... and so a tactical plan was knitted together and even a plan for the upkeep of peace in the future.

We don't need armed peace forces to make peace. Think of it; "Armed peace"! *lol*

Have you ever called the police?
