:) I didn't mind. I thought it was funny. I know what you mean about the
late appearance of Raan's posts and hope mine aren't quite as late as
but I can see the problem.
Well, at least yours don't appear as meteor bursts
with material dating back to a week ago, 'post-time-stamped'
so as to appear 'new'. I wonder if a 'News From Yesterday'
tv channel could get much attention from the 'We Want News
From The Day After Tomorrow' people who can't just bloody
pay attention to the 'What's Going On' show.
(The Day After Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life. I'm giving
myself a bit of time in hand.) No offence intended but, in my cosmology, I'm
pretty much The News (like when I get up in the morning and look in the
mirror and have to say "Down, boy! It's only Me" 'er sumpin' ;) I don't like
to get too locked in to the 'What's Going On' show. I find it distracts me
from Real Life(TM)
emailsOk, now I've a clue to what emails you actually
read, I'll simply use the appropriate [Free ***
Penis Enlargement Stay Hard Forever Narwhal ***
Meet Pink-toed Buddhist Sluts Stop Thinking Now]
header to gain your undivided and mercilessly Real
(TM) attention.
:) I don't open all that crap I must confess, so I just gain an overall
impression from the titles. The worst ones were this string of bogus
40kballegedly from Microsoft Customer Services or somesuch each with e.g.
tookattachments. It was mainly them which caused me to give up because it
theyso long to download each one and I didn't know how to dump them before
(so Ieven arrived. I have the same download time problems with using links
generally don't).
When Grandfather 'went modern' he'd put some kind of
roller-chain-thingie in the floor of the barn to roll milk
cans back to the refrigerator room. I'm thinking that your
ISP is working on the same delivery principle. You used to
complain (I think you were on ISDN or some other marvel
of BT's Brilliant Technological Competence) that you had
to pay per byte.
I pay by the minute but it effectively works out the same if things are slow
to download. (I think that may have been from an explanation of why I have
no compunction in using Block Sender if the download time for trb starts
going over 1min peak-rate or 5 mins cheap-rate).
"Microsoft Customer Services" being a post hoc ergo propter
hoc kind of oxymoron, you would have been suspicious, of course.
:)
versionErm... :) one of the five posts I sent at the same time as getting
this/yours involved having a chat but none of them turned up on my
versionof OE. I hope that doesn't matter and they turned up on the google
that Ianyway but I'm not convinced I have a 'full view' at the moment. (Or
deservehave the full view of what I do have the full view of - not that I mind
that - I mean, 'deserve' is a sucky concept but to the extent that I
overanything, I deserve to be subject to what I suggested. And having got
mirrorthe initial 'Oh ***' response, it's actually quite entertaining in some
ways. Then once you get over the glamour of being Bruce Lee in the
inroom or Kwai Chang Caine in similar or Kevin Costner in the snowy forest
the Bodyguard etc. it's kind of 'liberating'.
I'm not much for 'deserving' either (esp. in the 'karmic' sense
of it), but I do think that the aspiring Hagiographant may want
to keep it in the shed as a handy gardening tool.
:)
intendedYou're not, by any chance,
a "physicalist" are you? I'm dying to meet a Real (TM)
one so that I may, so to speak, 'look in the mirror'
(and I don't think George quite qualifies) :)
Well, that's the Whole Bloody Problem with You People (no offence
Nine-Box:). No-one seems to want to Go The Whole Hog at being even an archetypal
Physicalist or a Buddhist. I mean, how are you going to get on in
ExhaustHagiography World if you don't Go The Whole Hog in each Box so as to
their attractions? :)
:)
I'm not. I was assigned the task of 'being' one by our
mutual orange-ish friend and I'm trying to figure out
what it is I'm supposed to be 'being'. Otherwhere you
mentioned DT (for whom I seem to have been oft mistaken)
as a 'model' physicalist, but my whole experience with
"lucid dreaming" seems to have involved only this Nice
Jewish Girl more than 50 years ago, so I may not be
'qualified'.
:) You are so far beyond DT in Nine-Box Hagiographical terms that I think
you should point out these oft mistakers so I can go and frown at them from
a great height :)
half'.pps:
Mrs. Cosmopilite replies that, "It's the same cow either
way and besides, you may just want to drive 'round it."
I thought she used to be a Ms. but I'm glad she's now got a 'better
OK. I'll *try*.
"Mrs." cf pg 130 (in the Corgi paperback edition, anyway).
OK. (I've been contemplating whether to bother to work in 'Corgis' all week
in relation to (Guernsey/Friesian) 'Herders'. I couldn't think of any other
traditional cattle herding dogs but they're generally such obnoxious little
bastards that I couldn't think of how to extrude any 'glamour' out of them).
