Re: Was Ruhiyih Khanum correct when she wrote this statement: "It was the duty and right of Shoghi Effendi, explicitly stated in the Master's Will to appoint Hands of the Cause."

many Bahá'ís, East and West, after their death;  the most outstanding
of these was Martha Root, whom he characterized as the foremost Hand
raised up in the first century of the Faith since the inception of the
Formative age.  The  one exception was Amelia Collins.  He cabled her
on November 22, 1946:  "Your magnificent international services
exemplary devotion and now this signal service impel me inform you
your elevation rank Hand Cause Bahá’u’lláh.  You are the first be told
this honour in lifetime."  As to time announcement leave it my

Let's examine those statements by Ruhiyyih Kanum, and her quotes from
the first Guardian's words, because they raise some serious questions.

Is that a correct statement. that it "was the duty...of Shoghi Effendi
to appoint..." Hands of the Cause?

Was it necessary, was it beneficial for the Bahá'í brotherhood, and
was it a "duty" for Shoghi Effendi to name Hands of the Cause
postumously?

If such naming of Hands of the Cause was necessary or beneficial or a
duty during the Guardianship of Shoghi Effendi, will  such posthumous
naming of Hands of the Cause be no longer necessary nor a duty nor
beneficial for generation after generation after generation of women
and men on Earth and for the Bahá'í brotherhood as the World
Commonwealth of Bahá’u’lláh develops and advances for the remaining
hundreds of years of this Holy Dispensation?

If naming Hands of the Cause was a "duty and right" for Shoghi
Effendi, why did that "duty and right " cease to exist in the
Heterodox Bahá'í organization?  If the entire purpose of the
Institution of the Hands of the Cause was to appear on the scene
briefly in order to establish a headless UHJ and then to disappear
forever, why did Shoghi Effendi name Hands of the Cause postumously,
Hands of the Cause who were not involved in establishing the headless
UHJ?

What, then, is the real purpose for Hands of the Bahá'í Faith?

Does that purpose continue throughout the generations of the
establishment of God's Kingdom on Earth, even for the remainder of the
1000 years of this Holy Dispensation?

It seems logical to me that some Hands of the Cause will continue to
be named posthumously far into the future of the World Commonwealth of
Bahá’u’lláh. The third Guardian has already named such a Hand of the
Cause posthumously, even as he has also named some living Hands of the
Cause.

Shoghi Effendi stated that Hands of the Cause are the "Chief Stewards
of  Bahá’u’lláh's embryonic World Commonwealth".  Is it not logical to
conclude that while His World Commonwealth remains "embryonic" that
Hands of the Cause will simultaneousley remain as its "Chief
Stewards"?

And His World Commonwealth is cetainly "embryonic" at this time, and
all of the Heterodox Bahá'í Hands of the Cause are dead, with no
prospect of any more Hands of the Cause for that organization.

Is not that serious error on the part of that group?

The above quote of the written words of Ruhiyyih Khanum is from page
