Or you could disagree.

Draw lines? You mean delineate? Like define? Is that what Momen's
intention is, Larry?

He means like the lines Moojan drew between fundamentalists and
liberals in the article Larry used to quote so often. ;-}

Oh....."the line"?......'the line' between the Baha'i Fundamentalist/
Defender and the Baha'i Liberal?

Serendipity !

Here it is made stark and clear by an exchange between a Beliefnet
'Defender of the Faith' and myself (from just this week)

Defender to me-
"the line that you have clearly drawn is .....You and [ ] against the
baha'i world.....and then the two of you put yourselfs on the other
side of the line..."

There ya go!
The "line" is that the 'Defender' is entitled to-
a/ Publicly claim I have "clearly drawn a line" between myself and
the "Baha'i world" and
b/ Proffer the slander that I have set myself "on the other side of
the line"..." and "against the Baha'i world".

It's that simple...the Baha'I Defender gets to publicly determine and
delineate my relationship to my faith and tell me and the world if I'm
for it or "against it"!

That aint "exclusivism"....that's just good clean Baha'i fun!

Now should you ask/expect the Defender to explain/justify this
exclusion from and opposition to the Faith you get this-
................................................
Rod-
"If my (and [ ] ) opposition to the whole "Baha'i world" is so
"clear" and obvious that even the "blind" can discern it then set
forward a couple of prime examples [ ].
Show us the opposition to all things Baha'i that you claim is so
clear.

"The chief foundation of the prohibition of murder, theft, treachery,
falsehood, hypocrisy and cruelty, is reason." Abdul Baha

Show us the "reason" that justifies the lying slander you present
[ ] .

My money is on your producing >NOTHING WHATSOEVER< to justify or
substantiate your false allegation while other Baha'is sit back in
silent/tacit approval of the slander you present
.....................................

The Defender response?.....
.................................
Defender-
"you are right, i don't plan to produce anything...you can decide for
yourself...the length and depth of my guilt..."
.................................

There's "the line".....the Defender of the faith gets to say I drew it...
gets to say I put myself outside it...gets to say I'm opposed to the
'Baha'i world' from out there on the other side of the line and
finally gets to refuse any and all opportunity to explain, justify or
substantiate the slander.

.....................................................

"According to the direct and sacred command of God we are forbidden to
utter slander" --Abdu'l-Baha

Defenders response-
"...even if God forbids something...i know that He will forgive me..."
..................................................

Dang! Wish I had God in my pocket!

"To draw lines as all past religions have drawn lines with the
potential negative consequences that go hand in hand with such
religious exclusivism.

To draw lines in a manner that purposefully marginalizes individuals
whose religious interpretations and beliefs happen to be diverse from
the one so drawing lines.

To draw lines in a similar manner to the way Israeli Jews draw lines
between themselves and Palestinian Muslims and visa versa. Such
religious drawing of lines is old, is ancient, is worse than useless.

You'd think that humanity would outgrow such useless divisive
thinking
and the religious beliefs and practices that reinforce such obsolete
divisive thinking."

Silly old Larry on the wrong side of "the line"
(Dam articulate though;-)
