It is according to E.G. Browne that the number of Babis, or as they
prefer to be known Bayanis, killed was seven and not three as claimed
by Baha'is. According to Browne his source was a Baha'i who lived in
Akka at the time of the murders.

And you know his source is accurate how?

One source states that Baha'u'llah's barber Salmani asked Baha'u'llah
for permission to carry out the murders and was given an implicit OK.

Well, you should have no problem finding this in Salmani's own memoirs
if it is true. Otherwise, how would anyone know what Baha'u'llah told
Salmani?

The fact that Salmani approached Baha'u'llah to broach the subject of
murdering the Babis at Akka's gate is not disputed. Whether or not he
gave his implicit OK or told Salmami to refrain from the murders is
secondary to the fact that he did nothing to prevent those murders.

Telling Salmani *not* to commit such an act *is* doing something to
prevent it.

The fact that Baha'u'llah went on to castigate those same victims
even after they had been murdered by his own followers does not
reflect at all well on Baha'u'llah's character.

The fact they were murdered does not change who they were or what they
did.
