Are Hands of the Cause of God policewomen/men or administrators? No
authority to act as policepersons or administrators was delineated for
Hands of the Cause of God by the Center of our Bah' Covenant,
'Abdu'l-Bah, unless expelling from the congregation someone who
protests against a Guardian of the Bah ' Faith is considered to fall
into such a category.

Beyond that, unless a Guardian assigns a specific administrative duty
to Hand/s of the Cause of God, her/his/their designated tasks do not
include anything other than "to diffuse the sweet savors of God, and
to guide all the peoples of the world."

For example, no Hand of the Cause nor any group of Hands of the Cause
has authority to dissolve a duly elected National Spiritual Assembly
and call for election of another to replace it. Hands of the Cause
have never had such authority, and they do not have such authority
today.

Acts perpetrated without Divine approval are not valid in the Bah '
Faith.

The chairman of the illegally dissolved National Spiritual Assembly of
France, illegally dissolved by Hand/s of the Cause 47 years ago, is
now the third Guardian of the Bah ' Faith.

National Spiritual Assembly of France was the only NSA which received the
proclamation of Mason Remey.

The shameful aggression of the former Hands of the Cause towards the France
rightful National Spiritual Assembly and their illegitimate dissolution of
that elected body without having any authority to interfere in its affairs
was not signalising the first nor the last time that the former Hands under
the direction of Ruhiyyih Khanum violated the Covenant of Baha'u'llah, Will
and Testament of Master and Directives & interpretations of the first
Guardian of the Faith.

Ruhiyyih Khanum in her book the Ministry of Custodians tried to justify
their acts of violation and produce excuses for all their wrong doings, but
even so any clear thinking and conscientious person by reading this book
will discover the plot of Hands to put an end to the Guardianship and how
they were doing anything for their evil intention. Following is Ruhiyyih
Khanum's version of the episode:

"To our surprise however the French National Assembly voted to recognize the
claim. Our first news of this was a cable from Mr. Barafrukhteh, a member of
the National Assembly, telling us that eight of its members were recognizing
Mason Remey. Confirmation came from Mr. Navidi, Protection Board member, who
was asked to go to France to investigate and report. He cabled that the
French National Assembly was circulating the French believers to accept the
claim; and as the situation seemed to be dangerous, and as Ugo and Hasan
were not well and Adelbert was in Scandinavia, the Hands in the Holy Land
decided to send Abu'l-Qasim Faizi, to deal with the situation. the French
National Assembly has been dissolved and the five offending members declared
ineligible for re-election. The Paris Assembly, which is loyal, is acting
for the time being as the Central Assembly for France, under Faizi's
guidance. Faizi, will visit all the French communities before a new election
is held"
