Delhi to host unique inter-faith conclave

NEW DELHI, April 20 (KUNA) -- An inter-religion conclave is to be held
in Delhi on Saturday, with the participation of religious and civil
society leaders from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and
Bangladesh.

The conference will be inaugurated by India's Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh.

The religious leaders will represent Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism,
Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Bahai Faith and Zoroastrianism.

The Inter-Faith Harmony Foundation of India, created by Indian
Muslims, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and The
Temple of Understanding (India), are jointly organising the conclave.

The conclave will also be addressed by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila
******, ICCR president Karan Singh and former Indian Prime Minister I
K Gujral, the organisers told reporters here Friday.

The other participants include Pakistani Information Minister Muhammad
Ali Durrani, Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Aseef Ali Daulia,
Pakistan's Movement of Justice President Imran Khan, Sri Lanka's
National Peace Council Executive Director Jehan Perera and
Bangladesh's Peace and Conflict Studies Director S M Ibrahim, the
