Re: 54 Bahais arrested in Shiraz

Firstly people arrested must be freed immediately as it is a reflection
of the regime's cruel nature.
Anyone 'involved in the humanitarian' services who does it for the good
of the 'underprivileged', AND does so ANONYMOUSLY (i.e. the
'underprivileged' does not and will not know about the religious
convictions of the 'service provider' then such people must be
commended and praised not arrested.
It would also e acceptable if the service provider's religious
convictions are known to recipients who are NOT vulnerable AND are
sufficiently briefed (on the risks associated with the product).
If however the recipients of the service know the provider's religious
convictions, and are vulnerable (which they usually are) then the
nature of the service becomes more of a religious proselytizing. In
other words the recipient feels obliged to think positively about the
provider's religion which he/she has had no opportunity to investigate.
This is comparable with the rules concerning 'conflict of interest'.
In such case it is acceptable to protect the community from an
engineered religious campaign, as this technique has long been a
popular short cut for missionaries to achieve their objective.

Given the past experience with Bahai techniques in sending
'humanitarian' Bahai missionaries to poor and far places where the
patient has his tooth extracted and ends up having a brand new religion
at no extra cost, I personally tend to doubt that those people had
nothing on their mind except for being engaged in a merely
'humanitarian service'.

Shiraz is not an Aborigine reservation in Northern Oz; it is the city where the Primal Point made His home.
