I'm pretty certain that the number of kinds of people must
be finite - since the number of people on the planet is finite.
For instance, a loose upper bound for the number of people
on the planet is 10 billion (because I can't be bothered to
look up the exact number, and I know it's over 6 billion).
A better upper bound would be 7 billion, but 10 looks nicer...
So, there can't be more than 7 billion kinds of people.
Of course, this is assuming that people can only be
one kind of person. If it is possible for one person
to be two or more kinds of people at once, then there
*could* be more kinds of people than people.
And if it is possible for a single person to belong to
an infinite number of kinds of people (which it might
be, "kind of person" being a mental construct rather
than a biological reality), then I might be wrong
after all, that there could be an infinite number of
types of people (depending on your classificaton
schema) to which the finite number of actual people
could belong.
