That is not what Paul is saying. He bluntly states in 1 Corinthians 7:1 "It
is good for a man not to touch a woman." From the discourse that follows it
is clear that the only reason to marry is to avoid becoming an adulterer, 1
Corinthians 7:2 "But, because of fornications, let each man have his own
wife, and let each woman have her own husband." In other words: If you are
too weak to abstain then marry least you fall into sin.

I am not sure what you mean here. What would a married couple's attention be
divided between? (Please provide reference.)
