Maybe. But do you really want to live in a society that chops penises
off as punishment?
What if they don't use their penises? What if they're women? What if
they use an object such as a broomstick? What then? Cut off their
hands? Forbid them to sweep floors ever again?
Why should the punishment for rape "fit the crime" when other
punishments do not?
Personally, I think rapists should, at least, get some sort of
mandatory education and/or psychological treatment. Most people don't
seem to agree with me -- one "side" is more concerned with punishment
and thinks I'm being "kind" to evil people, and the other "side"
doesn't want prisoners to be forced to do anything psychological. I
can see the point of the latter, but at the same time they're already
being forced into incarceration. Is it really any worse to treat them,
instead of just warehouse them and let them out later?
