today there are demonstrations in Taipei for , and ,
against the bill to purchase submarines and missiles from the USA .

If the Taiwanese Yuan passes the bill to purchase Subs from the US ,
or from other nations which shall build subs for the uS ,
then Taiwanese needs to wait for 3-4 years to get their diesel subs ,
in order to defend Taiwan .

This will mean that Taiwan needs to wait until 2008-2009 to get
their diesel attacking subs .
