MT. MOURNE, N.C. -- The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is responding
to reports of shots fired near Pine Lake Preparatory near Mooresville.

The sheriff's office says they received reports of a gunman in the
area, possibly firing shots at students. There have been no reports of
injuries.

The school was placed on lockdown, but Mooresville authorities say
students are now being released to their parents.

AirStar 36 over the scene showed K-9 units searching the area.

No further details have been released. NewsChannel 36 is working to
gather more information.
