Rush Limbaugh lied when he said that "Charcoal lighter fluid and jet
fuel are the same; they're refined kerosene."
His statement also means that breathing lighter fluid fumes is just as
safe as breathing jet fuel exhaust. He then labeled the members of
the Los Angeles Air Quality Board , which banned the use and sale of
charcoal lighter fluid in L.A. County, as a bunch of "hypocritical
idiots".
The Fairness Doctrine would allow a medical PROFESSIONAL to come on
Limbaugh's show (or each individual station which aired Limbaugh's
lie) and point out that lie:
1.Fact: there is NO kerosene in any charcoal lighter fluid on the
market!
2. When jet fuel (refined kerosene) is burned at high temperatures in
a jet engine, only clean WATER VAPOR is given off in the exhaust.
That's the water vapor trail you see in the sky.
Carbon dioxide is also produced by jet engines.
