The end game

I often wonder what exactly is the end game for those on the right. Is
it the intent of their policies to destroy the middle class or is that
just a byproduct of a desire to help the wealthy garner even more
treasure. Certainly the social conservatives that hate gays and
liberals would be more then satisfied if the policies designed to
reward wealth and corporate greed had the side benefit of forcing the
majority of Americans into poverty. Because in their minds it would
swell the dwindling ranks of the faithful. Those who preach myths to
the masses depend on the poor to fill their churches and collection
plates because for those at the bottom faith is often the only thing
they can afford.
If it is the intent of those who control the GOP to force the millions
in the middle into financial instability and ruin how does it help
them? If the vast majority of Americans enlarge the ranks of the poor
who will buy the MP3 players and the televisions, the washers and the
dryers and the cars that are the mainstay of this economy? How can a
mass market economy survive the lose of it's customers? The only
answer I can come up with is that they haven't a clue what they are
doing and if they care at all for those their policies are pushing into
financial oblivion it is only from the point of view of how they might
help their friends make a profit off those they have destroyed.
