The devil in Christ's message.
In a church bulletin, dated November 27th we get the following;
"Today we honour all women and men who made the supreme sacrifice and
laid down their lives in war so that we could live in freedom. Sadly,
even today this fight to live in peace goes on and we pray for those
who has lost their lives in all wars. We remember that these heroes
imitate Christ "who did not hesitate to lay down his life for his
brothers and sisters".
Christ was about loving one's enemy, and treating 'the least of his'
as you would treat God; interesting how such a good message could be
so corrupted.
Here Christs message, a message of peace and harmony is taken out of
context; Christ carried a cross and not a gun to his death. The Christ
imitation is a false one, where we can learn that the devil lies in
some truths and its interpretation; words can lie.
Seems 'the devil' is always looking at ways of corrupting good things.
