It wasn't like he just raped her one day... they had
been *married* for several years! And he didn't
surround himself with a harem of small girls, Alisha
was the only one that *may have* been under-aged...
his other wifes were all adults when he married them,
so it's obvious that he wasn't attracted to little girls
(besides if he was, he wouldn't have waited).

This was the attetude in the Middle-East back
then... girls and women were *property*. Mary
was about 12-14 -- no wonder she was a virgin.
12 was the accepted "marriagable age" (with
everything that entailed) in the Catholic Church.
There were US-states that had age of concent
as low as 9 only 20 years ago -- the lowest today
is 14... and some states allow girls as young as
12-13 to marry -- with parental concent.

Alisha even had friends over all the time, without
Muhammed forcing himself on any of them.

If you want to blame someone, then blame the
girls parents for arranging such a match -- undobtfully
for their own political gain -- in the first place!

You can't apply todays norms and values to a
primitive society nearly 2000 years ago.
So unless you discovered Muhammed had actually
*married* your daughter, I'd think she would be
safe in his care!
