No doubt. Urologists that do major cancer surgeries, such as
cystectomies,
prostatectomies, RPNLD's, etc. are less profitable to their practice than
surgeons who do smaller procedures, such as transurethral surgery, and
more
office based procedures. That is just a fact. The fact that that
infections and other postop problems can rare their ugly head adds to that
fact as well as provides additional headaches.


I've never met a physician who ever admitted that anything he did actually
made money.
