more money you make.
Incorrect. When GI doc perforates a colon, they don't make a single dime
extra.
The SYSTEM and others make a lot more money. The surgeon gets his
regular fee. The hospital gets is regular fees, and the patient gets the
bill AND never knows what happened. The patient is only told how much she
owes in $.
What they do get is a bad reputation, a drop in referrals, and
potentially lost income.
Duke Clinics make sure no one ever hears a word about it.
