As the population gets heavier, it lives longer. Period.
That is a correct statement. Also correct is that heavier people live
shorter lives than normal weight people. Rage against that fact all you
want - but it is just that - a fact.
thin is a negative in longevity. Increasing weight helps people live
longer
as a whole.
I didn't say thin is good. I said normal weight. Studies have shown, as
discussed previously, that overweight people don't live as long as normal
weight people. It makes pretty obvious sense, since obesity brings with it
a host of other medical problems that can shorten lives.
