Other than infectious diseases and deficiencies of
nutrients, and the use of surgery, little has been
cured. It may even be that what is good for one is
bad for another.

That is why any drug

Not quite, but almost. Insulin will be needed for the
rest of the life for Type 1 diabetics, barring the
development of substitutes for the beta cells of the
pancreas, and these may have to be renewed. There
are a few more possibilities for Type 2 diabetics,
but no likely cure in the near future. The elder
Bush and his wife need to take medicine for life to
treat Graves disease. Fixing something which has
gone wrong is not always possible.

Again, if the chemical is a normal chemical, its side
effects are generally very few.

I agree that there is a war on nutrients, but I do not
think it is for that reason. I take both prescription
medications and nutrients, and have even been prescribed
nutrients for conditions. We don't know much, and the
government is hindering at every step, as it has major
control over research funding.
