Does L.A. Need King Drew Medical Center?

Major cuts are proposed at KDMC that will significantly decrease the
comprehensive hospital services previously avaliable to one of the most
needy areas in Los Angeles.

The health and well-being of residents is in peril if these cuts are
approved. Eliminating women and children services to those most in need
hardly passes the litmus test of social justice, fairness, equality and
equity for vulnerable populations.

In the end this is more about the financial survival of a county health
system than it is about doing the right thing for a community in need
of hospital services.

What is the right answer?
