All Buchanan is doing is stating what should be obvious:

Israeli destruction of Lebanon's facilities, including their airport,
port, bridges, and buildings, and the killing of Lebanese civilians are
morally reprehensible. The Lebanese are not responsible for the actions
of Hezbollah or Hamas.

However detestable Hezbollah or radical Muslims are, the Arab-Israeli
conflict is none of our business. We should never have become involved
in it in the first place.

Harry Browne said it best a few years ago after the 9/11 attacks:

"Stand back and ask how this could have happened. Ask how a prosperous
country isolated by two oceans could have so embroiled itself in other
people's business that someone would want to do us harm. Even sitting in
the middle of Europe, Switzerland isn't beset by terrorist attacks,
because the Swiss mind their own business."
