INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Two men tried to rob visitors to an apartment
building with an AK-47 on Tuesday night, according to the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on the city's northeast side.

A resident in Pepper Mill Apartments, in the 4300 block of Mill View
Court, invited someone over, and the person brought along a family
member. When the two people walked into the entrance of the apartment
building, two men with an AK-47 assault rifle tried to rob them, but
were unsuccessful. The suspects fired one shot at the visitors and
missed. The victims ran from the scene

One victim suffered a minor injury after hurting himself while running
away from the suspects.

IMPD hasn't made any arrests.

Where the conversion?

Heh. kinda dumb to convert a full-auto AK to SEMI-auto.
(you can legally buy semi-auto AK's most anywhere.)
A full-auto AK would be worth FAR more even on the black market.

how would one legally get a full-auto AK-47 in the US?
I doubt any are NFA-registered,and thus available for lawful purchase
in
the US.

Maybe these are some of the ones BJClinton allowed to be "imported"
into
the US,in exchange for Chinese political contributions.


Or maybe they were simply semi auto AKs. Most reporters wouldn't know
how to even spell full auto much less really understand what one is.
They sure as hell can't understand the difference between an assault
rifle (the term they used) and an assault weapon (the term the media made
up).
