It is very insightful to see that Lookout focuses on the gun instead of the 'finger that pulled the trigger', and as a consequence, arrives at a false conclusion that "Guns kill."
Using Lookout's logic, we instead should be creating laws against private parties. Had that been the case here, there would have been no incident.
So, what Lookout is really saying is:
'Private parties kill. Period.'
