"Boxer countered that ["assault weapons"] bans have kept people safe.
"To go back to that dangerous yesterday makes no sense at all," she
said. "It has bipartisan support."

Here's hoping you try pulling off your new "assault weapons ban"
BEFORE November......

Ma'am.

She obviously has been watching too many movies that involve
"assault weapons".

she and most anti-gun folks would not be able to tell the
difference between an "assault weapon" and an assault rifle.
To them,ALL firearms are "assault weapons".

It's intentional:

"Assault weapons—just like armor-piercing bullets, machine guns, and
plastic firearms—are a new topic. The weapons' menacing looks, coupled
with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus
semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun
is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public
support for restrictions on these weapons. In addition, few people can
envision a practical use for these weapons."

Boxer, just like our very own Lyin' Loser Weasel, reads straight out
of the Violence Policy Center/Handgun Control Inc./Brady Campaign To
Ban Guns From The REAL Militia of The United States Constitution
Propagandist Handbook.
