Anybody know where I can find it?  It just occured to me that if
the Framers of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights really had
granted individuals a right to keep and/or bear arms, then there
should be a statute that says so.  I just searched Statutes at
Large, the first several Congresses, and didn't find anything.

Surely your NRA lawloons have found dozens or hundreds of federal
statutes, similar to the National Firearms Act of 1934, that
regulate or protect that right from 1791 to 1934.

Could you please fully cite those laws in Statutes at Large?

Or shut up.

The Constitution nor any other federal law grants rights.

Cruikshank proves you wrong, Jiffyloon.

Rights are inerrant in the being.

The right to self-defense may be a fundamental right; a right to have
guns for your own self-defense has never been a fundamental right.

When state constitutions grant an individual right to have guns, the
states also put those gun rights into statutes.

But Congress never did that with any federal gun rights, probably
because the US Constitution never granted any federal gun rights.

If you don't agree, then why don't you cite the Framers of the
Constitution or the Bill of Rights saying that they framed an
individual gun right unconnected to militia service?

"Arms in the hands of citizens (may) be used at individual
discretion...in private self-defense..." 1788(A Defense of the
Constitution of the Government of the USA, p.471 John Adams

Wanna tell me how John Adams was not one of the framers of the
Constitution. Sorry, He was.

Have you shills checked "GunCite" lately?

[begin excerpt]

Jumbling John Adams

Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion...in
private self-defense.

The quote above was even mistakenly cited by the NRA-ILA in 1996, and was
on the NRA's Web site until at least early 1998 (and has spread to many
personal Web pages). (Original NRA page preserved here. The erroneous
Adams quote appears near the bottom of the page.)

Less common, and worse:

Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion
for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self
defense.

[end excerpt]

Here's the correct quote, which even GunCite is afraid to provide:

"It must be made a sacred maxim, that the militia obey the
executive power, which represents the whole people in the
execution of laws. To suppose arms in the hands of the
citizens, to be used at individual discretion, except in
private self defense, or by partial orders of towns,
counties, or districts of a state, is to demolish every
constitution, and lay the laws prostrate, so that liberty
can be enjoyed by no man ? is a dissolution of the
government. The fundamental law of the militia is, that it
be created, directed, and commanded by the laws, and ever
for the support of the laws."

John Adams, A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of
the United States of America, p. 474-5 (1787-88)

And because you led off with a fake quote, dishonestly edited and
intentionally misconstrued, you lose again, and I win again...

POINT PROVEN!
