Licensing/registration is USELESS in those cases.
It's done with cars and works just fine. You're dead wrong.
Works?

Even though every car is registered and licensed and every driver
trained, tested and licensed by The State, tens of thousands of people
are killed and scores of thousands more seriously injured by
automobiles
every year.
Well, actually there are a lot of cars that aren't registered, a number of drivers that aren't licensed, and many drivers who have had no
formal
education on driving.

Probably most of them have no formal training.

Well, I considered that, but these days a fair number of HS students take driver's ed as an elective. So I'm not sure exactly what the split is anymore and didn't want to hang it out there when I really don't know.

Is that what you mean by "works just fine?"
It means if it really were what he claims then it works just fine at showing registration does nothing to prevent criminal misuse.

After all, I seem to hear a lot of stories about registered cars being used in crime, and a lot of times the car isn't even registered to the criminal misusing it.
