There have also been suggestions merchant crews should arm themselves.
[The Maritime Union of Australia's assistant national secretary] Mr
Doleman says that is a bad idea.
"Because all you do then is have an arms proliferation," he said.
"We've got M16s. Then the pirates have got M60s."
===============================
So there you have it. Don't try to defend yourself or your property.
There's no use. They'll just arm themselves better.
Just give up, or let the government protect you. They are, after all,
doing such a bang-up job if it.
With a murder rate 1/4 that of the US you may well be right Klaus, a
bang-up job indeed.
Your murder rate has nothing to do with guns, Phil. Stop being so
disingenuous.
Just roll over and let your government take care of you.
Hey Klaus, instead of droning on and on to get me to "roll over" why
don't you take some time out and guide Mr Albritton in the intricacies
of rates.
Because this is where you need to concentrate, Phil. This is a perfect
example of your government's girly-man attitude towards guns--
actually telling its citizens NOT to defend themselves. To give up. To
roll over. To surrender.
You'd think Australia was settled by the French.
Like your English cousins, I expect your government's next directive
will be to install permanent escalators on the sides of ships so the
railings won't be marked up by grappling hooks.
Yes, I didn't think you'd come to Mr Albritton's aid, best to let die
a slow death.
You're confused, Phil. This thread is about the cowardice of the
Australian Government, and their admonishment to Australian citizens
to be cowards as well.
Maybe someone should come to YOUR rescue here, eh?
As for the rest of your ramblings wasn't a fair part of the US settled
by the French? Didn't you have to buy them out?
The French were chased down to Louisiana where they mated with the
locals and opened restaurants. They surrender easy- just like the
Australian government wants you to do now.
