The time has come and gone for the NRA. I haven't been a member for
a long time now, about 5 yrs. If the people do not wakeup who are
still members, I'm afraid they will only wakeup too late. The time
has come to support a NEW GROUP that looks out for our rights. That
group is GOA! Gun Owners of America. They are the ones who have our
backs in DC. not the NRA.
They may have your backs with their thoughts, but they carry as much
weight as a flea. Why not be a member of both. That way you can vote
and make the NRA the way you and your friends want it.
One vote isn't going to make the difference.
One vote has made the difference before. Add to that the fact that in
union there is strength. The NRA is a multiplier. That attitude of
yours is rather defeatist. ;(
If the NRA wants my
money they have to clean up their act.
IOW, they have to chnge their way of thinking to exactly match yours
before you will support them. Damn, I am of the opinion that being a
member helps mold them to your way of thinking as long as enough others
agree with you. Isn't that also the purpose the primaries? Get the
person to represent the party that most agrees with the party's values?
Start by not agreeing with the
gun grabbers.
Sometimes compromise is necessary. We lost our rights a nibble at a time
and that is probably how we will have to get it back. There is no
aspirin we can take that will move all the gun laws back to 1900.
While GOA ,as you say "carry as much weight as a flea",
they are on the gun owners side.
So what? Lots of people are on your side, but if they don't join
*effective* organizations or don't vote or don't wish to help other
organizations believe the way that do, nothing gets done.
Do you know what the problem is with
compromising? You lose every time.
You had better get used to losing then, because we are not going to
compromise with the likes of you gun-nuts ever!
Do you have any brothers or sisters? Did you allways want the same
things at the same time? Wasn't there compromise within your family?
Sure it takes them longer to get
your rights from you but in the end they are gone. You don't
compromise. Compromise is what got us where we are today, fighting for
our rights to protect ourselves.
And compromise is probably the only way to work our way back.
No, what you dont understand is that there is no "compromise".
Your guns already have and will continue to be stripped from your
hands all across America.
We no longer live in the "land of the gun" and you gun-scum had better
wise up before you all end up in prison.
