The words of the text lead to ambiguity. If you think you understand
it outside of its constext, you're being foolish. For instance, as a
noun, the word "state" has 14 meanings. Which is applicable in the
case of the Second Amendment?
OK, I'll let you pick which of the 14 meanings of the word "state" to
insert.
None of those definitions will change "the right of the people to keep
and bear arms" and "shall not be infringed". RKBA is recognized in
the wording, not granted.
The word "people" is not the plural of "person." It refers to the
"state" as a collective sovereign not to citizens considered severally.
The right is declared for the collective sovereign not any person or
group of persons.
oh my,...... How can one begin to respond to such a concept.....
what you have is a person who's trying to twist words to suit his concept.
attempting to educate him is an exercise in futility.
