I repeat:
"Why would a SWAT Team
gun down an old 75 year old guy,
who worked for four Fortune 500 Companies,

Pumping gas and wiping windshields for Exxon, Mobil,
Sunoco and Gulf is hardly something you should
be PROUD of, tom.

Perhaps if you'd been able to actually HOLD one
of those jobs you'd have something to brag about?

I figure that all work is honorable,

Only if you do it well enough to KEEP it, lacky.

I never hesitated to grab a broom or a mop
if the conditions required it.

Well, it WAS in your job description...

It appears to me that "Peter Kelsey"
is what we called a "gold brick" in the military.

You were never in the military, tom. Even THEY
have SOME standards.

It is interesting to see that
"Peter Kelsey" trivializes
the folks who pump gas and wipe windshields,
the folks who sweep and mop,
and the folks in the military,

It is interesting to see that "tom potter"
can't follow a simple conversation. It certainly
explains his delusions about what actually goes
on around him in the world, and his own inability
to compete.

and pretends to be superior to folks
who do work.

I wonder what "Peter Kelsey"
thinks about the farmers who grow our food,

the truckers who bring the food to us,

the factory workers who manufacture our products, etc?

Hopefully "Peter Kelsey" will post
his views on what kind of work is honorable.

Most all work is honorable, tom. If you can HOLD
a job. From your description of your work history,
it sure sounds like you couldn't.

It is interesting to see that "Peter Kelsey"
is ignorant of the fact that the personnel
departments of large companies are sophisticated,
and that losers are unable to ADVANCE from one
Fortune 500 Company to another.

I always got an increase in pay and responsibility when
I changed jobs, and always got a counter offer
when I left.

Unlike most folks who are motivated by security,
I am always looking for a place to work, to live,
to make a contribution,
not for a place to die.

It has been my experience that
it is best for "Gold bricks" like "Peter Kelsey"
who demean hard work,

to get a union or government job,
where they can advance based on seniority,
rather than productivity.

Or if they do manage to get a job with a good large company,
that they do everything they can to hold on to it,
as they will be unable to find a better job with
a good company.
