Since the introduction of the 1996 Australian gun control laws and
the
one billion dollar firearm buyback, crimes and shooting offences have
dropped markedly.
Figures from the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research show that
crimes
involving firearms are down 44 per cent since 1997 and shooting
offences
have fallen by 40 per cent since 2001.
In the 18 years prior to the 1996 Port Arthur Massacre, where gun
freak
Martin Bryant killed thirty five people, there were 13 mass
shootings.
Since
the new gun laws were introduced there have been none.
Let me repeat...NONE!!!
Says it all really!
But what is the case for gun control Serge? Just the usual dose of
bullshit.
Just the same old, same old tired worn out and thoroughly debunked
rhetoric from the hoplophobes.
But I applaud your cunning by first quoting Port Arthur (an undeniable
massacre) and then claiming 13 mass-shootings trying to imply, in a
subliminal way, that they are one and the same.
But let us stick with massacres - after all, most intelligent people
know what mass-murder is and the many and varied reasons why they
occur. It's the massacres that most people fear because of their
random nature, the lack of a perpetrator/victim relationship and the
absence of any understandable motive.
So-called gun massacres are not caused (note the word cause) by guns
Strawman - no-one claimed they were.
Bush's War On Terror is working! Hijacked airliners crashed into
buildings since 2001- ZERO!
Says it all, really!
**How many box cutters do you think could be smuggled (in hand luggage)
onto
a US aeroplane from a major US airport today?
Does that number have anything to do with regulations introduced after
Sept
11 2001?
You agree with me that it's working!
**Would you care to answer my question?
Great! We'll never have another
plane flown into a building again! Thanks to Bush's War on Terror! LOL
**There is a smaller likelihood that it will occur.
Why is that? It worked pretty well.
