Like you, I like to be able to buy a gun that I want.
I'll even go so far as to say I've changed my mind
about instant background checks to purchase firearms,
too-- I think they're a good idea-- although I think
it could be done a bit differently than it is now.
Agreed; we should get background checks on all gun
transactions including sales, gifts and loaners,
whether the transaction is FFL or personal.
Oh look Muffy! It's a left-wing love fest between Buck
and Sleasel! Sure, we all agree that those in power
should know at all times EXACTLY where EACH AND EVERY GUN
is in the entire country. ZERO LOOPHOLES! I mean, comes
the revolution, how ELSE are they to gather them all up?
Wouldn't want them in the hands of the "resistance" would
we?
You guys are SO transparent!
Laugh, laugh, laugh!
Well, if you noticed, I mentioned in my post that I'm not
happy at all with the way the current background check is
set up.
If it were up to me, all gun purchases would have a
background check. You'd swipe your driver's license
through the credit card machine, and the NRA database
would see if it matched the list of criminals, retards,
democrats, and other social deviants. If your name wasn't
amongst those on the list, the sale would proceed. No
record of your name would be kept. The NRA would run it,
and they be insured by the government incase they got
sued because the list wasn't current- surely not their
fault, but some ass would try suing them.
Not a member of the NRA, eh Clucker? Why in the hell
would you trust the biggest lobbyist for an industry with
any kind of quality control decisions or functions for that
industry?
They wouldn't be making quality control decisions for the
industry.
Sure they would. I bet my dog could buy a gun if the NRA
performed the background check.
Is your dog a criminal or mentally defective? If not and he has a
driver's license or gov't ID, he should be able to buy a gun.
You'd love it if you worked for the lobby, wouldn't you?
What do they pay?
If your name was on the list, a net would drop from the
ceiling.
Simple. Workable. Doable.
Not workable if you want to stop illegal gun purchases,
rentals, loans and gifts. It'd be like appointing the head
lobbyist for a coal burning power company to the EPA.
You can't stop illegal gun purchases, rentals, loans, or
gifts, no matter what you do. But you can certainly put a
No more excuses. Let Violence Policy Center perform the
background checks and keep the databases updated.
I have no problem with that. And anyone NOT in the database- anyone
with no felony record or mental illness record- can buy a gun. I'm
sure they'll be fine with that.
Name another organization you trust that would handle the
list. It doesn't have to be the NRA.
The *** running down your leg tells us you disapprove of
having any real accountability in the background checks, eh
Agent Clucker NRA Cheerleader Squad?
