No need to become a [tempting] target. Every qualified

Maybe I'll join a Progressive rifle club.

Sure. Join the Stalin Pioneers! Come the Revolution all
you commies will need to know how to shoot to kill
conservatives!

We already know that, Blowjobacoby. Show up & vote & always
use paper ballots.

What we need is a militia like the Swiss with compulsory
service for all able-bodied men & women ages 20 to 30. No
exemptions for rich kids. Then if a volunteer US Armed
Forces needed more troops they could draft from the
militia and the recruits would be ready for training; and
if they weren't ready they'd go to jail and work out.

I think what George Mason and John Adams said about the
militia makes sense, unless every able-bodied person
participates it places a burden on those who volunteer,
and a likelihood they'll be misused by unsympathetic
chickenhawk rich politicians and big business goons.

And we should probably do away with dual enlistment. The
National Guard shouldn't be used as full-time military for
more than a few months, it's just wrong for the citizen
soldiers who joined the Guard expecting they'd be mainly a
state militia and only a federal reserve force in dire
emergencies. Iraq was not an emergency that affected our
national security. This should never happen again.

Oh my God! The Weasel is slowly starting to actually GET
it!

He didn't read very closely.

Figured out that the Swiss system actually works, Eh,
Sleasel? Yes it does. Ask any Nazi!

Naazis eh? So the Founders were Nazis? Racists yes, but
don't think Congress was fascist for passing the Militia Act
of 1792, which is conscript. I think they did allow for
paying substitutes and that was bad, and they did try to force
the recruits to provide their own muskets, balls & powder etc,
which was stupid and failed miserably. But Nazis?

You've been watching the Ken Burns documentary on WWII, eh lil
fella? Good for you.

You do note that doing
away with enlistment does away with the standing army

They'll be professional soldiers, all volunteer, exempt from
militia duty, dumbass. The militia that will be compulsory
along with other kinds of public service.

You
still don't get the true state of the National Guard. It is
not now nor ever was a state militia.

Next.
