Re: "Zumbo the Dumbo" back in his full glory on TV

Just when I thought that you had taken some steps to rehabilitating
yourself, Jerry....

"Zumbo the Dumbo" certainly did step on his lingam last February, and it
proved very costly to the man, personally and professionally.

But unlike yourself, he actually did take pains to rehabilitate himself...
starting, as Sam Kersh has told you, under the aegis of, first Ted Nugent,
and then probably the leading M4 instructor in the immediate universe, Patty
Rogers at a carbine course on Sheriff Ken Campbell's law enforcement range
in Indiana.

You like to read, Jerry, so grab the recent issues of G&A and S.W.A.T. which
detail this.

As Sam noted, "Zumbo was willing to learn." Are you?

If you still harbor animus toward Jim Zumbo, as your unflattering sobriquet
suggests, that is your absolute right, and I'll not take issue with you on
that count... what he wrote in February was stupid, ill-informed, and almost
certainly done after an excess of imbibitions.

But he's taken the necessary steps toward redemption. If the cynic in you
sees this as a desperation move in an attempt to salvage his career, we
shall see what we shall see.

For the record, I don't know Zumbo, and had never even heard his name 'til
his blogging blew up in his face last Winter.

But there are other, more contemporary fish to fry, again, as Sam has
disclosed to everyone: retired Texas Ranger, Marine and current third term
NRA Board member Joaquin Jackson for whom the NRA hierarchy is doing a
dreadfully inept job of trying to cover-up and "spin."

The NRA crucified former high level ILA staffer Richie Feldman for
orchestrating the voluntary trigger lock accord with the Clinton
Administration (which accord successfully headed off Clinton's legislative
initiative), and after a suitable "waiting period" to see which way the
winds were continuing to blow, severed ties with Zumbo. Let's see how they
handle this elitist viper at their organizational bosom.
