Well, that's where the Nat'l Guard should become involved. You don't

Arrh! Us pro-gunners need to come up with a new phrase similar to
"Godwin's Law" claiming:
"Any discussion of guns with anti-gun people will lasting longer than
10 responses results in the probablility of the assertion that arming
a group of otherwise law abiding citizens ALWAYS results in shootouts
over the slightest confrontation approaches 1".
Pro-gun cited Katrina, not I. If anything, pro-gun's guilty of
"Katrina's Law."
Absolutely. Katrina's Law: If there is a disaster that renders an
area lawless, the citizens should have a means of protecting
themselves.
With that out of the way, please provide a cite - ANY cite - where
that is claimed. We've provided you countless cites and stats showing
this has yet to happen.
*You guys* guys cited Katrina as an example of need for personal
defense. I can't think of a better reason to outlaw it.
And we have facts (again) on our side showing the criminals were armed
AND not disarmed by the gun confiscation such as the legal gun owners
were.
Wrong. Again, you've been provided with ample cites and stats showing
guns would still be available even if banned, and that loonies use
other weapons as frequently as they use guns to commit mayhem.
The recent worry is that US loonies have changed their weapon of
choice.
A choice is made because of convenience and availability. Ban guns,
and the next most convenient item moves up the list (gasoline?). Will
you be demanding a ban on gasoline then?
Don't care about the differences between rifles just so long as you
don't start claiming rifle A is a good rifle but rifle B is bad and
needs to be banned (ala the AWB).
Don't know AWB, however some rifles are better than others, argued by
pro-gun, no less, but that's not the point. I'd prefer it if the gun
were visible. If it doesn't fit in a pants pocket, it's ok from this
non-bearer's standpoint, up until pro-gun starts raising the stakes to
non-hand-held guns.
So pro-gun has argued that? Do tell. Who in this debate has said
rifle a is good and should be kept, but rifle b isn't and should be
banned?
