Herb Martin:
Actually Fox News MIGHT be the ONLY news service that could pass
"Fairness" almost without change -- Fox makes a strong point of
putting on legitimate representative from both sides of most
points -- especially on political issues involving Democrat vs.
Republican or with nationally important ISSUES that are
considered controversial such as abortion, gun control, illegal
aliens/border enforcment, etc.

ROFLMAO. Okay, that was a good one. You are a really funny guy,
and obviously haven't a clue.

Matt, I watch a lot of media. That includes CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox,
etc. I will state that Fox does an excellent job of news coverage
as does CNN. I will also state that Fox's talking heads are mostly
conservative while CNNs are mostly liberal.

You need to watch a little more closely then since Fox "pundits",
those who comment on a subject from a specific perspective or
opinion, are almost always balanced by someone on "the other side."

I really don't think I need to watch any more closely than I do,
Herb. I wouldn't consider Alan Combs as strong a liberal as Hannity
is a conservative. Besides which I already made the same basic you
did above.

You are making my point about balance.

Not when one is weaker than the other. You need to read more closely.

Fox News coverage like CNN and the others is largely INCOMPETENT
from a journalistic standards and accuracy point of view,

I think that most TV coverage of news is rather incompetent as far as
discussing things in depth is concerned. It will never replace (I
hope) the written page. However for covering a lot of news and
different subjects in an even handed was, I give kudos to both Fox
and CNN. Their political biases diverge when it comes to commentary
on that news.

The incompetence we agree on.

but the case
is easy to make that Fox is the least BIASED, unless someone wants
to see or is incapable of seeing LIBERAL bias.

Your opinion.....welcome to it.....just as I have mine.

No, that is based on simply COUNTING the cases where either is not
offering competing "pundits".

Such is math, statistics, not opinion.

Perhaps, but I doubt very much you go to all the news channels and count
the opposing viewpoints presented on political discussions.

I already DID it because I heard someone mention it.

Try it. You will see.

Even when CNN has "opposing" viewpoints they usually get someone
who is not really "on the other side" (but has some credentials there)
and put him against 3 opponents -- especially if it is political right vs.
left.

David Gerghan (sp?) is one of the FAVORITE Republicans but the
secret is that he isn't one anymore.

Watch and count. Then if you want the real truth factor in how seldom
the guy on the right was about 2 degrees LEFT of CENTER.

Not a raving Far Left Liberal (that's the other three) but middle to left.

Even without this adjustment you will see they do NOT play fair.
