Cho was crazy, not dumb, and he wasn't a terrorist. As you say, he
had more deadly methods available to him, yet he chose handguns.
Why?

Because he could and his target was known to be disarmed.

And if his target was known to be armed..?

The statistics say that first the likelyhood of the attack is
significantly reduced -- psychopaths are NOT "crazy" in the normally
thought of "divorced from reality" sense and they almost never pick
targets that can offer resistance (e.g., police stations, gun shows, or
even places where citizens can go armed.)

You missed the point, which you est'd. Now s/he uses more deadly
weapons. Would that be better?

Defintions of psychopath:

A person with an antisocial personality disorder, manifested in aggressive,
perverted, criminal, or amoral behavior without empathy or remorse.

An accurate description of people using guns and other weapons to
commit mass murders, wouldn't you say?

someone with a sociopathic personality; a person with an antisocial
personality disorder ('psychopath' was once widely used but has now been
superseded by 'sociopath')

Would you prefer "sociopath?" It doesn't matter what you call them,
you "hoplophile." They still buy guns and kill people.

In other words, not deluded, or divorced from reality. They know full well
what they are doing, but have no care for thier "victims" which they
generally see as a means to thier end. They are making rational choices to
satisfy thier needs, irrespective of the outcome to the people they affect.

Do you really beleve that? Or, let me put it simply for you.. is
walking into a school, w/ a gun or *any* weapon, w/ the intent of
killing kids *ever* rational?

Drug dealers shooting kids accidentally during turf wars to carjackersto
serial rapists and murders all generally fit this category. Thier actions
reward them in some way and that's all that matters.

Nope. Killing people over money is another animal. No less defendable
or prosecutable, but not in the same category as killing as a reward.
