On May 28, 6:47 pm, "betweentheeyes"
<betweenthee...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> quoted some HCI mailing:
In the aftermath of both of these shooting sprees, politicians mad many
speeches expressing grief and sympathy. Yet there has been too little
action to prevent gun violence. I now write, as one of more than 400,000
members and supports of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, to ask:
"What are you going to do about it?"
Who really thinks HCI has 400,000 members - or anywhere near that
many? If it does, why did its affiliated "Million" Mom March not draw
even 10,000 on a sunny Sunday - when held in a major metro area with
literally many millions more potential participants within a two-hour
drive of it? If it does, why did almost none of the local chapters of
the affiliated "Million" Mom March get even 10 members? If it does,
why has the Web site of the affiliated "Million" Mom March had to quit
saying how many members its local chapters have?
