What new uses?

Do you wish to rephrase that question? Anti-gun could no doubt provide
you w/ a long list of answers.

There are 18th century uses, such as the pistol duel between gentlemen,
which have disappeared, but I know of no new uses for guns in the 21st
century.

Many more have appeared since the 18th century. Pistol duels aren't
the worry. At least the duelists set the time and date they decide to
kill each other, and afaik, no one else is/was killed.
